Technical Architect

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Technical Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS. This role will focus on ensuring our cloud environment is secure, scalable, and compliant with GovTech's IM8 guidelines. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, and advanced AWS tools. Experience with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture and Design:

. Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions on AWS.

. Develop architectural frameworks for cloud-native applications.

. Ensure cloud solutions meet regulatory and security compliance, including IM8 guidelines.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform.

. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Networking and Security

. Design and manage secure network configurations (VPCs, subnets, security groups, etc.).

. Implement robust security measures, including IAM policies, encryption, and monitoring.

Compute, Storage, and Database Solutions

. Optimize AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.

. Develop strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and data redundancy.

Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting

. Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and third-party tools.

. Set up alerts and dashboards to ensure system health and performance.

GCC

. Design and implement solutions within the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).

Advanced AWS Tools and Technologies

. Utilize advanced AWS tools such as Kinesis, Chime, OpenSearch, and Generative AI (GenAI) frameworks, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

. Explore new AWS offerings to improve infrastructure efficiency and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience:

. Networking and Security (VPCs, IAM, etc.)

. Compute, Storage, and Database Solutions (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)

. Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting (CloudWatch, OpenSearch)

. Experience with GCC

Highly Valued Skills:

. Advanced AWS services: Kinesis, Chime, OpenSearch

. Experience with Generative AI solutions (RAG framework)

. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
