Reporting to Lead Technical Compliance Coordinator, this role will have to ensure Jetstar's heavy maintenance technical & operational performance meets business metrics (TDR, OTP, NPS, and Cost per BH).
Having dedicated heavy maintenance, the role will be responsible for ensuring continued airworthiness, safety and quality standards are met, managing the heavy maintenance activity.
Other Key Responsibilities Of This Role Are
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and actively manage all fleet safety threats.
- Responsible for the heavy maintenance check phase process in order to ensure agreed TATs are met.
- Monitor quality of MRO work performance and associated paperwork.
- Manage standards for the respective MRO's to ensure continued airworthiness standards are met at competitive cost.
- Support on-going business development and continual improvement with proactive fleet technical management within heavy maintenance environment.
- Provide and/or coordinate expert technical assistance to respective MRO's as required
- Provide technical knowledge and skill to MRO maintenance activities.
- Research and analysis into reliability issues to improve fleet performance.
- Monitor technical status of aircraft and systems utilising AHM and TRAX within 100 sectors of Heavy Maintenance exit.
- Carry out technical research for any MRO requirements as required.
- Maintain regular communications and including regular interface meetings to ensure delivery of services and communications is maintained.
- Assist in management of aircraft schedule disruptions and recovery in External MRO/AMO ports as required.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Trade/ LAME qualification (group 20) highly regarded
- Business degree/diploma (or equivalent) highly regarded.
- Sound aircraft Industry Experience, including experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience within a line maintenance environment.
- Detailed understanding of airworthiness regulatory requirements for engineering maintenance organisations.
- Sound experience managing supplier relationships and contract delivery (internally and externally) Project management
- Good negotiation skills and implementation of high profile projects / initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with all customers internal and external.
- Able to communicate business status through reporting methodologies, such as business scorecards.
