Technical Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

. Review design information issued at the tender design stage / planning stage, and possibilities of re-engineering

. Responsible for structural design planning and coordination with project team and client during tender and awarded projects.

. Attend design team meetings and presentation of technical proposal to clients, as required.

. Manage and coordination with external engaged consultants.

. Monitor design changes and deviation from original scope / contracts and feedback the changes to QS department.

. Work closely with client's technical team to resolve any design issues that arises in the construction site.

. Support the project department to resolve/ propose any design/detail and assist site team to solve technical issues.

JOB REQUIREMENT

. Must have an engineering background with a degree in Structural Engineering - BEng, MEng or MSc.

. Min.5 years and above experience in design and detailing of steel structures.

. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, tekla and design software, with practical knowledge in the Construction industry.

. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

. Solve engineering challenges using extensive detailed design experience and knowledge of the relevant design codes in Steelworks.
