Position Objectives
United Martine Trading (UMT) is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and driven individual to join our team as a Technical Manager to be part of our Logistical Team to bring about dynamism in our processes
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operational efficiency, and preventative maintenance plans to ensure vessel reliability.
- Monitor and evaluate the required daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports from vessels
- Control the on-board plan maintenance system (Danaos), monitor the status
- Monitor and maintain updated records of Class Societies, Flag Administrations and Insurance Certificates
- Prepare and Submit Monthly, Quarterly and annual Reports to Management
- Conduct regular inspections of vessels
- Monitor and control expenditures related to maintenance, repairs, dry dock and operational costs.
- Monitor preparation of Drydocking Specs
- Monitor conduct of investigation and root cause analysis of Incidents, Accidents and Near Miss
- Review Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions and Recommendations from investigation and analysis of incidents, marine casualties and near misses.
- Member of Emergency Response Team
Job Requirements
- Must be familiar and knowledgeable with prevailing Regulatory Documentations
- Proficient in MS Office associated software
- 4 - 6 Years experience in the maritime industry preferably related to vessel operations and/or data analytics
