What You'll Do
- Supervision and monitoring of all site activities of Gas Transmission Pipeline (GTP) and associated facilities development projects from beginning to commissioning and end of defects liability
- Ensure quality of all construction works are in compliance with statutory requirements, standards, codes, project specifications, best industrial practices, and sectional ISO9001 requirements.
- Site progress is in accordance to approved schedule
- Safe work practices in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health statutory requirements, SPPG's procedures and industry best practices
- Enforcement of technical and safety requirements on site
- Facilitate, coordinate, and manage consultant and contractor from time to time during site discussions and progress meeting.
- Assist Engineer (GTP) in site project management by liaising, co-ordinating and obtaining permits with relevant authorities such as LTA, PUB, NParks, service departments, third parties and other divisions of SPPG, in all aspects of the installation of the gas transmission pipeline and facilities during construction stage.
- Resolve site constraints and conflict from time to time if required. Frequent liaising with various stakeholders are required during project construction phase.
- Prepare of daily construction activities records and progress reports in conformance to ISO9001 requirements.
- Monitor third party construction activities to prevent any third party damage.
- Assist Engineer (GTP) in creation of work order, daily records with quantity of works done and verification of payment claims.
- Assist in preparing and procurement of contracts, reports, and any other works necessary.
What You'll Need
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore
- Has some experience in supervising mechanical (i.e piping, welding) and civil (i.e trenching, tunnelling) related works.
- Capability to engage key stakeholders and customers
- Strong technical background, with project management skills to be able to manage quickly evolving and complex projects
- Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
- Able to work independently, as well as in a team in a challenging environment
- Possess a personal vehicle and able to use for work purpose
