The Cellular Analysis Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) works in the Biosciences Division (BID) and is accountable for driving sales of specific products within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will use their sales experience, scientific knowledge, product expertise, market intelligence, and territory management skills to improve sales and profitability.
This role involves supporting the growth of the Biosciences base business and our Customer Experience Center activities. The successful candidate will be recognized as a technical leader, contributing significantly to strategic objectives and promoting the adoption of new products within the sales team.
What will you do
- Sell and promote the Biosciences business within defined territories as assigned by the Manager.
- Develop, manage, and support commercial activities within the Customer Experience Center, including the maintenance and upkeep of instruments.
- Drive business growth by developing new business opportunities and growing relationships with current customers.
- Prioritize customer needs by responding efficiently to customer requests, exploring their business goals, and serving as a technical resource.
- Establish technical credibility and build positive relationships with accounts and colleagues.
- Leverage technical and business knowledge to present compelling value propositions to customers.
- Collaborate with a diverse sales team and engage with various internal collaborators.
- Attend trade exhibitions to generate leads and prospects for the company's products.
- Develop and implement technology seminars tailored to the research focus of accounts.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate market feedback and competitive intelligence to support the evolution of our product offerings.
- Adapt quickly to change while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
- Independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Field travel is required, comprising 30% or more of the role.
How will you get here
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of technical sales experience (or equivalent work experience) in life sciences, preferably serving academic, government, and biopharma customers.
- Strong knowledge of Mammalian Cell Culture and Cell Analysis is advantageous.
- Laboratory or project management experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in a sales role and familiarity with account management are beneficial.
- A strong desire to achieve targets and a sense of self-fulfillment are crucial.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and possess strong organizational skills to effectively collaborate within teams.
- Open to candidates with relevant technical knowledge who are interested in transitioning to a sales role.
