The Technical Service Manager supports the Head of Aftersales to manage and oversee all aspects of the technical service department, leading a team consisting of technical support, technical training and warranty submission members. She/he will be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver technical assistance and resolve technical issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse and provide technical support/warranty in accordance with manufacturer guidelines to operation teams
- Provide technical advice to management on critical warranty and technical decisions with statistics and reports
- Provide technical advice to workshop for technical problem resolution and support in test drives to identify technical issues
- Perform mystery checks on workshop operations to ensure quality control is in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Technical validation for any extended warranty program and accessories retro fitment
- Direct contact to official authorities (e.g. LTA)
- Main contact person with HQ, regional stakeholders on technical support/warranty related topics
- Identify training and development needs for team members and coordinate appropriate training initiatives
- Liaise with HQ, regional stakeholders on training requirements in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Work closely with HR on manpower issues, recruitment and training needs
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Automotive Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Business Management
- 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry, including 3 years in managerial position
- Responsible, performance oriented, a team player
- Fluent communication skills in spoken and written English
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Business management skills, technical skills and customer oriented
- Valid class 3 driving licence is a must
