Purpose of the Job:
- Responsible for vehicle repair, diagnostic, service maintenance.
- Ensure all assigned jobs are carried out according to Company's Quality Standards.
Job Duties:
- To carry out Maintenance checks, basic annual preventive maintenance for trucks
- To perform all repairs (With guidance from Team Leaders where appropriate)
- To ensure Utilization, Efficiency and Productivity is achieved.
- To record repair time and detail of repair in the Work Order.
- To keep Team Leader updated on the repair details and repair requirements.
- Understand and adhere to Warranty Process and Procedures (Warranty tagging of parts, return and storage of warranty parts etc)
- Ensure good housekeeping of work bay.
- Accountable for all tools and equipment handling and usage.
- Ethical compliance of genuine parts replacement and service rendered according to the checklist and scope of works.
- Ensure all service and repairs are performed thoroughly and in accordance with good quality practice and procedures adhering to manufacturers standard
- Lead by example to ensure high level of Health & Safety performance within the area of responsibility.
- To attend to breakdown where necessary and to be equipped with a valid Class 3/4 driving license.
- Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 5 years working experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks
- Basic Vehicle Principles and Concepts.
- Basic engine, transmission and brake system knowledge.
- Multi-meter basic electrical values.
- Knowledge in vehicle electrical circuit diagram.
- Preferred with valid Class 3 / 4 / 5 driving license
- Able to be on 24/7 on standby
