We are currently seeking a suitable candidate to join the team as a Manager. You will work with other team members to help various business and project teams navigate and comply with the requirements of the firm's technology risk assessment and approval process for the procurement, development and use of new technology solutions. You will help teams to articulate technology risks for the technology solution and to engage with specialist functions in the firm to identify risk mitigation measures and manage risk.
As a manager, you will be expected to help ensure the firm's compliance with various network technology risk management policies and standards which includesdeveloping and maintaining risk and quality compliance processes, tools and templates.
You will be involved in a broad range of activities which includes working with internal and client facing teams across all the Lines of Service and specialist functions in the firm and the PwC network.
You will provide guidance to business and project teams to identify, assess and advise on the various aspects of technology related risks.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
Review technology risk assessments and discuss issues with the Technology Risk Director and/or Risk & Quality Partner
Provide sound advice to PwC professionals across the Assurance, Tax and Advisory practices as well as Internal Firm Services who seek Technology Risk Management input when onboarding or developing new technology solutions
Develop and/or update solutions to common queries, including relevant practice aids and templates
Work closely with the Technology Risk Director to plan, design and implement technology risk management processes for the firm
Provide support, education and training to staff to build technology risk awareness within the firm
Prepare monthly reports and statistics for internal reporting
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
At least 5 years of experience within PwC, another Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm or relevant industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide well-reasoned responses to all personnel grade levels in the firm and across the network
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, even when under pressure
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong stakeholder management skills
Be open and adaptable to working in a changing environment
An excellent team player with the ability to work well with other team members, including sharing and collaborating effectively with others, as well as creating a positive team spirit
Possess the ability to empathise with the pressures and motivations of client facing colleagues and an ability to win their support with pragmatic advice to bridge the expectations of the business and the requirements of risk management
Possesses a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Takes initiative but keep others informed of progress and escalate issues where appropriate
A drive to keep up to date in a fast-paced technology landscape and a sound understanding of how technology can drive efficiency, augment existing services and open new opportunities for the business
Be an effective coach to junior team members
Possess a keen desire and ability to learn and deliver timely and quality results to internal clients
Past experience with technology risk management, general risk management, technology contract review, IT audits, internal audits or compliance will be advantageous, but not mandatory
Language requirement:
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
