Tenure-Track Position for Assistant Professor in Biotechnology

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a new interdisciplinary school formed by integrating the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) from College of Engineering and the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) from College of Science. CCEB faculty members conduct cutting-edge research in diverse areas of bioengineering, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, and other fields.

We invite outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a research area related to biotechnology. Applicants should have a well-defined research vision and an outstanding track record of publications in top journals. Successful candidates are expected to develop innovative, internationally visible, and extramurally funded research programs. We are also seeking candidates with outstanding capacity to teach related topics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including mentoring and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Some school and university services will be expected of the successful candidates.

Requirements

We are seeking individuals with expertise and a proven track record in fields related to biotechnology, including but not limited to areas related to cell therapy, gene therapy, RNA therapy, deep learning for biomedicine and healthcare, computational biology and bioinformatics, targeted drug delivery, synthetic biology, and vaccine technology.

Emoluments

The commencing salary will depend on the candidates qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment offered.
