We are partnering a market-leading Manufacturing giant to appoint a Total Rewards Lead (circa. $170k-$190k annual base) for the Asia region. Originating from North America, the client is consistently ranked among the top 50 performers within the industry globally. They are currently looking for a Compensation & Benefits expert who will be able to uplevel extent frameworks and policies, thereby enabling Human Resources (HR) to drive talent attraction and retention strategies directly. Based in Singapore, this is a team manager role.
Reporting into the Global Rewards Director, the successful individual will help drive Compensation and Benefits agenda for 10 markets within North and Southeast Asia. This entails providing tailored guidance to two direct reports and other in-country HR colleagues on daily operational matters (e.g. salary proposals, mobility). Due to the relatively flat setup of the Rewards CoE, the incoming will likewise be tasked with leading global processes and practices. As there are extent structures in place, the strategic mandate for the Total Rewards Lead is to identify gaps and propose solutions for enhancements, ideally through adopting a Total Rewards strategy that extends beyond pure cash remuneration. Projects wise, the client has engaged in several acquisition activities of late, hence partaking in change harmonisations will likewise form a recurring motif. Aside from people management and Rewards technicalities, stakeholder engagement constitutes the final cornerstone of this portfolio, as there will be high levels of collaborations within and across regions, functions and seniority.
This role will undoubtedly require candidates who have strong knowledge of the Asia Rewards landscape, including China. Strong data modelling and analyses are critical since this role cuts across operations at both the regional and global levels. Creative and critical thinking skills are likewise favourable, particularly when partnering stakeholders on recruiting for challenging requisitions. Proficiency of another language aside from English would be an added bonus.
