Role description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trade Finance Specialist to manage and oversee all trade finance-related activities within our organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating international and domestic trade transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing risks associated with trade financing. This position requires a strong understanding of trade finance instruments, international trade regulations, and banking practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bank and Fund Liaison:
• Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure trade finance instruments, ensuring alignment with company policies and financial objectives.
• Negotiation of Rates and Charges:
• Negotiate favorable Letter of Credit (LC) discount rates and bank charges, striving to minimize costs while optimizing the company's financial strategy.
• Document Management and Presentation:
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of transport and shipment documents to banks for discounting. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Coordination and Courier Management:
• Prepare all necessary trade documents and coordinate with courier services to ensure prompt and secure delivery of documents to relevant stakeholders.
• Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on changes in trade finance regulations and industry practices. Ensure all transactions follow international trade laws and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade finance.
• Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit.
• Proven negotiation skills with banks and financial institutions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
