We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join one of the well-established Commodity Trading Firms as a Trade Finance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of local Trade Finance regulatory standards as well as a base level understanding of the Treasury space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily trade activities, encompassing the issuance and modification of letters of credit (LCs), document confirmations, export bill discounting, and tracking payment deadlines.
- Serve as the main liaison between trade operators and banks concerning trade finance contracts, amendments, and related questions.
- Work closely with the Treasury Team to nurture relationships with banking partners.
- Confirm and address any discrepancies raised by banks, ensuring adherence to trade finance regulations and internal guidelines.
- Compile and update management reports on trade finance operations utilizing diverse reporting systems.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Good knowledge of Trade Finance market and instruments
- Knowledge of treasury is a plus
