Trade Settlements Specialist (Oil and Gas)

We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented professional to join a prominent Commodities trading multinational as a Trade Settlement Specialist. Please note you MUST have prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry to be considered. This position is vital for the daily management of invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of both physical and financial trading activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in trading settlement, including invoicing, payments, and receipts, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of invoices for physical and financial trading activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements related to settlement operations.
• Proactively coordinate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in invoice reconciliation in a timely manner.
• Ensure the prompt collection of cash and oversee aging reports.
• Collaborate with the operations team to address overdue Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable items and unallocated cash.
• Keep the Trade/Settlement team Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation up to date.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in settlement in commodities.
• Strong understanding of current market trends in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
