Your role and responsibilities
As a Training Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring continuous planning for the training function, assigning proper instructors and classrooms for each scheduled course, and providing schedule changes for other departments in case of over schedule. Reporting to Service Manager, you will be providing technical expertise to the overall EL services technical training curriculum (ABB active products, legacy ABB products, & AVO Training Institute). Your responsibilities:
- Providing facility management & oversight of EL services training center within the functional and geographical area of responsibility. Ensuring safety & regulatory compliance in collaboration with Local HSE manager.
- Establishing pricing for courses and provides relevant date for use with proposals. Selecting, managing, and ensuring proper training of outsourced trainers.
- Planning periodic training for course instructors to ensure knowledge of current technical environment and solutions. Maintaining detailed record of the training courses attended by internal resources.
- In cooperation with the local HSE responsible person, ensures that HSE requirements as per ABB way are integrated and up to date in all business processes and applications used for trainings driven by the trainer.
- Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
- Developing /following technical curriculum developed by respective primary service centers for all active ABB & Legacy ABB products to support services training needs for both internal and external customers as per the local market demands.
- Developing technical content repository for training curriculums. This repository shall include training content (for both face-to-face and online/remote trainings), hands-on labs, & post course written assessments for both internal and external customer curriculum.
- Personally seeking TRAINER certifications of all ABB products. This will allow training for all global products to be conducted in the SG & reduce time & T&L for traveling to other primary service centers for training.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field.
- Knowledge of MS suit is preferred.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent written and oral communication in English.
