The successful candidate will report to the Facilities & Operations Manager & Site Incident Controller. The incumbent will be manage and oversee the bus operations in the following four key functions: School Bus Service (School to home, home to school), Excursion, Service and Activities Buses, School Vehicle Management and Logistic support for bus services
Ensuring that, in every respect, the Colleges bus service for students is safe, cost-effective and efficient, that students behave themselves on the buses and that there is an effective system of communication with parents. A further key responsibility is to take a proactive role in observing and regulating the flow of traffic on campus, before and after school.
Work closely with the appointed transport service provider to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and service level expectations.- Monitor the performance of the transport service provider, including punctuality, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety protocols.
Coordinate with the transport service provider to optimise bus routes and schedules, minimising transportation time for students.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation services, including bus routes, schedules, and service feedback.
Ensure safety standards, protocols and procedures are devised, implemented, trained and tested to ensure the highest standard in regards to safety is maintained.- Conduct regular inspections of buses and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and contractual requirements.
Able to maintain and manage communication links with a variety of stakeholders. Presents a professional image and promotes the campus and college.
- Address concerns or complaints related to transportation services, working closely with the transport service provider to resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with the school principals, parents, and the transport service provider to communicate transportation policies and procedures effectively.- Monitor and manage the transport and School vehicle budget.
Stay informed about changes in transportation regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in transportation operations.
Minimum diploma in logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in transportation management, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Meticulous, possess initiative, with the ability to multitask, organise and prioritise work.
A team player who is able to work independently.
- Experience dealing with both internal and external customers and supporting internal client work related requests.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve transportation operations.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office and Google suite.
Familiar with Land Transport Authority Singapore Bus Licence and operations, traffic safety regulation.- Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
