MAIN PURPOSE
As a key member of the Travel Retail team in Singapore, you will be responsible for leading demand and supply planning for our prestigious skincare & makeup brands. This role is critical in ensuring that we meet both business objectives and supply chain targets while maintaining high operational standards. You will collaborate closely with various functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and regional supply chain management (SCM) teams. To succeed in this role, this person should be highly analytical, professional and possess excellent communication skills. The candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies and lead the team to achieve business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage demand and supply planning for our prestigious skincare and makeup brands, ensuring we meet customer needs while optimizing inventory levels.
- Develop & manage detailed forecast at SKU level by employing statistical forecasting models in conjunction with historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities and other relevant metrics.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing & commercial teams to conduct regular forecast reviews, to ensure alignment between sales ambition and supply capabilities.
- Lead and present in S&OP meetings, aligning on sales forecasts, financial plans, and product launch strategies.
- Support management with risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in the supply chain.
- Monitor and effectively communicate important changes to forecast and inventory estimations and any identified risks to senior management.
- Ensure supply plans are in place and adjust replenishment plans in response to changing market conditions and operational challenges to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with logistics team (inbound & outbound) for seamless operation and improve supply chain KPI.
- Identify stock obsolescence risk & collaborate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate impact
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, fulfilment rate, and inventory days of stocks, excess & obsolescence (E&O).
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing overall process efficiency within the supply chain.
- Any other related tasks/projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management roles is essential.
- In depth understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Adaptability to changing priorities & business needs.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player who can also work independently on tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high degree of comfort to deliver monthly S&OP presentation
- Proficient in using Microsoft excel (advance level)
- Experience IBP/SAP would be an advantage
- FMCG / Retail industry / Travel retail experience would be preferred
