Job Title: Treaty, Facultative Underwriting
Our Client: Public listed insurance company. In Singapore for more than 50 years. Excellent financial security rating.
Key Responsibilities:
. Underwrite and grow non-life treaty and facultative reinsurance business across Asia, focusing on profitability and strategic alignment
. Develop underwriting strategies for specific business lines and markets to drive growth and optimize the portfolio
. Manage natural catastrophe risk exposure and ensure effective accumulation control for assigned markets
. Lead independent negotiations and manage relationships with clients and brokers to acquire new business opportunities
. Mentor junior personnel, contribute to underwriting guidelines, enhance the organization's visibility and brand value in Asia, and develop new business solutions to clients
Requirements:
. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, with 5 to 7 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting, particularly in treaty business
. Expertise in Facultative, Excess of Loss, and Proportional treaty reinsurance, with familiarity in using treaty reinsurance pricing tools
. Good market knowledge and established relationships with clients and brokers in Asia
. Proven experience with multinational reinsurers and exposure to regional markets project team experience is good to have
. Good communication, interpersonal, leadership, teamworking, and negotiation skills
