Underwriting Governance

A leading general insurer with a local presence of over 100 years. The company offers extensive insurance solutions for commercial and personal risk protection, enabling the security and safety of individuals and businesses. Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the central register for underwriting manuals, guidelines, risk acceptance authority, underwriting breaches, and work processes.
2. Monitor pricing adequacy and assist with efforts to improve results.
3. Administer group underwriting policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with procedures from the Asia/Head Office, and reporting on controls and processes.
4. Conduct underwriting audits and leadworkshops and training sessions for business units, underwriting, and reinsurance teams.
5. Help develop and implement the Environmental Risk Management framework and strategy.
6. Support service provider management by coordinating with business units and profit centers.
7. Ensure compliance with group and regulatory reporting standards (e.g., PPF, IFRS17).

Requirements:

1. At least 8 years of underwriting experience in general insurance.

2. Strong knowledge of general insurance market trends and regulatory requirements.

3. Expertise in commercial insurance underwriting, pricing, audits, and policy review.

4. Familiarity with business transformation and digitalization initiatives.

5. Skills in business analysis, portfolio management, and insurance products.

6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
