Roles and Responsibilities: - Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Singapore Date Center or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 8 years of Information Technology experience
- Proactively maintain and develop all AIX and Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
- Hands on exposure to Content management System and good exposure in the data center management experience
- In depth knowledge of AIX (Primary), Linux: RedHat, CentOS and Veritas cluster
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Collaborate with other teams and team members
- Documentation- Documents all technical activities
- Ticketing and monitoring tool experience like ServiceNow and OP5
- Hands on experience with Veritas cluster.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Experienced in installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, security, backup, recovery and upgrades of IBM AIX Servers.
- Experienced in Setting up VIO environment, configuring VIO servers, MPIO, NPIV, and Dual VIO Environment installing OS on LPAR using NIM.
- Experience in Administration of AIX 6.x and 7.x.
- AIX Monitoring the system, CPU, memory and disk utilization.
- Experience in Installation of patches, packages and application software.
- Administration of monthly Mksysb backup on AIX servers.
- Dynamically add, remove and move resources in the LPARs.
- Experienced with installing the operating system on 7.x using NIM installation method by creating NIM master and client with lppsource and spot.
- Experience in user Administration creating new users and groups with multi-level of security, creating and assigning file attributes and permissions.
- Good knowledge in User account administration, adding/creating devices, patching, setting up cron jobs, UNIX backup/restore and changing kernel parameters.
- HACMP configuration Creating & managing the resource groups, starting & stopping cluster, failover & fall back cluster from one node to another and adding new volumes to the cluster.
- Configuring two node clusters, resource group, resources and defining the cluster topology and performing any trouble shooting by looking at different HACMP logs and fixing if any issues.
- HMC management, configuring new managed system to HMC code update, creating, removing and changing for HMC users.
- HMC critical data backup, upgrading managed server firmware, Capacity on Demand etc.,
- LPAR operations including: scheduling operations, troubleshooting activation errors, configuring and using system profiles, and activating and shutting down partitions, Power on/off partitions.
- Create partitions, partition profiles, and system profiles, activate partitions, and Schedule operations for partitions, dynamic operations for adding, moving, and removing memory, processor resources, and I/O slots.
- DLPAR-Dynamically add, remove and move resources in the LPARs.
- Dedicated and shared processors, virtual processors, processing unit, and allocation of processing power from the shared processor pool etc.
- HACMP - Monitoring servers, Starting and Stopping Cluster Services, moving resource groups across the nodes, increasing file system in cluster file system, synchronizing cluster resources and cluster verification.
Skills /Competencies: Essential Skills: - Experience in AIX/Linux installation and patching
- Experienced in Setting up VIO environment, configuring VIO servers, MPIO, NPIV, and Dual VIO Environment installing OS on LPAR using NIM
- Dynamically add, remove and move resources in the LPARs
- IBM AIX, Linux and scripting
- DevOps experience required but not mandatory
Preferred skills - Experience in Datacenter Management with Hardware Knowledge.
- Vendor Management Experience
- Hands & Feet Support whenever possible
- On Call Support
- Scripting experience.
Additional Skills: - Excellent customer interfacing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
