JOB SUMMARY
Vascular Technologist performs non-invasive vascular ultrasound and blood pressure studies.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply and adhere to the departments in-service vascular training schedules and programs in acquiring knowledge and skills to perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound and non-invasive vascular studies for diagnostic of peripheral vascular disease and other vascular abnormalities.
Generate written and diagram reports on the findings acquired.
Ensure that the vascular works are carried out properly as stated in the protocols for ultrasound and other non-invasive procedures.
Complete all training assignments as scheduled by the senior vascular technologist.
Perform non-invasive vascular testing under supervision by vascular/senior vascular technologist and vascular doctors.
Provide education and counseling service to patients.
Responsible for all duties delegated by the senior vascular technologist.
Assist and co-operate with seniors to ensure the operational needs, planning, projection and administration of the department are properly carryout.
Provide support and assist in research studies conducted in the department.
Ensure smooth and efficient daily operation of the department.
Assist to ensure all vascular diagnostic equipments are properly maintained and at its functional state.
Be an integral part of a team approach to the diagnosis and management of arterial and venous disease.
Manage and organise your time for scans and reports.
Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department
JOB REQUIREMENT
Degree or Diploma in Healthcare related field (preferably with prior experience as a Vascular Technologist or medical sonographer)
Registered nurse with 2-3 year Nursing experience preferred
