We are looking for Venue Stage Manager (VSM) on a casual basis (hourly rated) who is responsible for the smooth running of the rehearsal and performance on actual event date.
The VSM is in charge of prompting of performers and technicians, record running time of event, blocking notation and keeps The Company informed of time allocation.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rehearsal
- Work closely with the Production Coordinator in ensuring the productions schedule is running smoothly
Work according to the schedule and timeline given
- Communicate with the Hirer / Touring Companys Production Team on the Technical requirements
Relay changes in technical requirements to all technical department
Performance- Coordinate with Front of House for House opening and closing times and late comers entrance
Ensure performers and technicians health and safety for operational purposes
- Call all Lighting, Sound, Scene Change, Video Cues
Once the house opens, the VSM essentially takes control of the stage activities
Experience in Theatre and Stage Management- Requires basic knowledge of a theatrical production
Ability to handle and coordinate diverse groups of personalities with tactful discipline
- Able to prioritize and anticipate and solve problems with calm and grace under pressure
Able to accept irregular working hours
Please note that selected candidate will have to attend 2 days of compulsory training on 7 & 8 October
