- Ensure that Company's IT Policy is updated and adhered to
- Provide day to day IT support to end-users within the company
- Provide IT support for Vessels via remote tools or vessel visit if required
- Support and ensure normal IT server operations within the company and vessels
- Maintain and update Office Hardware inventory
- Administer Company's Marine ERP's
- Ensure that backup and replication is done for ERP's and office servers
- Collaborate with other Business Units on new technological needs or expand uses for existing technologies to increase functionality or efficiency if required
- Arrange or conduct IT training for new users or technologies
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required
- Maintain/create user documentation and training materials.
- Actively explore and deploy new software/hardware, unit standards, policies and procedures and effectively manages to achieve them when required
- Other work as assigned by superiors from time to time.
Requirements (Qualification, knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support in a shipping Company is a must
- Good team player and ability to work independently with initiative
- Good communication skills
- Good command of both verbal and written English
- Able to manage multiple projects/proposals
- Basic SQL Knowledge to run/apply queries.
- Experience of working on an ERP Software will an added advantage.
