Vice President, Regional Construction Placement Team, Asia

We will count on you to:
Reporting to the Asia Construction Placement Team Leader, the principal responsibility of the role is the placement and account management of clients and projects. This will include all facets of the broking life cycle, including the following.
- Uses risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
- Develops and implements the strategic direction for market approach and tenders
- Drives placement strategies to achieve growth goals and provides exceptional client service
- Manage market negotiations and placements
- Advise clients and client executives on best technical practices and on changing insurance market conditions/major developments affecting various types of products/coverage
- Build relationship with key internal stakeholders in local offices, client executives as well as the construction insurance/reinsurance market
- Account management of large construction projects, such as project financing, contract reviews and bespoke placement structures
- Build a strong understanding of our solutions portfolio, a deep understanding of the Marsh Construction customer value proposition, and our key differentiators
- Working with the client executives and claims team on progression of client claims
- Oversees placement support activities and ensuring internal procedural compliance requirements are always met
What you need to have:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in insurance broking and placement, preferably in Construction/Power/Energy sectors
- Proven technical broking skill to manage large and/or complex placements. Deep underwriter relationships and an established positive reputation in the insurance market
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Process oriented and able to prioritise projects and deliverables.
- Clear understanding of a project life cycle and the key criteria for successful execution.
- Commercially credible with the ability to express value propositions and cost benefits.
- Proven record of driving growth, delivering strong financial results and providing excellent client service.
