With operations in more than fifty countries and an extensive retail presence across several key brands, they have delivered consecutive record years in revenue and profitability. Over the last few decades, they have built and acquired major QSR brands and are looking to widen their brand and market dominance. The
Vice President, Design & Experience role is responsible for increasing overseeing design, development and execution of all physical retail spaces.
This is a newly created, permanent role in a pursuit to drive seamless customer experiences delivered consistently, globally.
Job Description
The
Vice President, Design & Experience will
report to the Global CMO and manage a globally distributed team of design leaders. This role drives initiatives across store layouts, concepts, packaging and experiences. This is a hands-on role that requires you to study customer needs and relay the voice of customer in the future design strategies. You will also provide guidance to franchisees and other brands owned by the group, with a view to increasing foot traffic, conversion and brand loyalty.
The Measures Of Success In This Role Are
- Leadership: hire, coach and lead a global team of designers, architects and project managers across APAC, EMEA and US.
- Innovation: lead the development of store concepts, store designs and establish brand identity in new markets.
- Project management: work with external architects & vendors to ensure that design vision is brought to life within project scope.
- Financial oversight: Develop and manage the store design budget, ensuring cost-effective designs without compromising quality or brand identity.
- Stakeholder management: partner with brand, consumer marketing and network development leaders while representing the real estate team's interests around site suitability, design feasibility.
- Voice of store design: represent the store design team in global leadership meetings and provide regular updates on progress and industry best practices.
The Successful Applicant
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Design, Architecture, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum fifteen years experience in a global design role, with at least five years in a highly scaled retail or QSR brand.
- Proven track record of designing customer-centric retail environments with an emphasis on brand identity, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of retail trends, emerging technologies, and sustainability practices within the design and construction process.
- Extensive experience managing complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality store designs on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, spatial planning, and construction methods.
- Flexibility to travel, up to 50% to oversee design projects and store openings globally.
