VP, Institutional Sales, SEA - Global Asset Manager

A global asset manager with strong offering in fixed income and credit, across public and private markets, remains committed to growing their business in Asia. In line with exciting growth plans, they seek to hire an institutional sales professional.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will drive and execute the firm's institutional client initiatives in SEA, expanding their business franchise and footprint in this region. This involves overseeing the relationship of new and existing clients and mandates under coverage and developing relationships across the strata of influential asset allocators and investment teams in major institutions. You will participate in portfolio client reviews and engage clients on behalf of the investment team. You will provide relationship management coverage with a focus on insurance firms, central banks, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. You will promote the firm's credibility and position appropriate products and services to the institutional investor base.

Requirements

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline from a reputable University and ideally, hold a CFA or MBA. Your 10 years of relevant experience should include 6 years of institutional sales in the asset management industry. Strong knowledge of fixed income and credit is mandatory, with private markets exposure, a strong advantage. You have a proven track record in managing and deepening institutional client relationships in Singapore and SEA. Your outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills will enable you to effectively deepen client relationships, resulting in increased business. As an experienced business developer with strong client servicing orientation, you enjoy working in a dynamic and international operating environment.
