Job Description

Greet and serve customers, guide customers to their tables
Present menus, efficiently take customer orders including any special requests
Offer menu, wine recommendations upon request
Provide information when asked (e.g. ingredients, portions or potential food allergies)
Ensure orders are correct and delivered promptly
Effectively communicate with Kitchen staff on order details
Input order into POS system
Check dishes and kitchen ware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Arrange table settings and maintain a cleanliness and tidiness at the dining area
Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils and cutlery, refreshing water glasses
Check and process cash and credit card payments
Handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner
Discuss with Kitchen staff and review daily specials, changes on the menu and requests made for reservations
Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of menu items and daily specials
To work independently and be a team player
Comply with safety, health and hygiene policies and procedures
To carry our ad-hoc duties as assigned
To always strive towards best customer satisfaction ensuring customers are satisfied with their food order, Beverages and service
