Job Description
This position is an essential part of Sherwin's distribution network. This role assists the Warehouse and/or Unit Manager in maintaining all standards in accordance with safety, quality, inventory, and productivity levels while meeting customer requirements in an efficient manner as a Warehouse Assistant. Warehouse Assistant monitor, and support the productivity and efficiency of the shift. This position safely operate forklifts or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, sorting, packing, and transporting products.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving and processing of all incoming material.
- Perform releasing and processing of all outgoing material.
- Ensure the working environment is always in a safe condition.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving
- Utilize handheld units (MSCA) to perform material receiving.
- Inspect items against the delivery order to ensure they're not damaged or in shortage before offloading.
- Sort, organize, and store material in the dedicated location.
- Report any damaged or shortages of material immediately to the supervisor.
- Releasing
- Utilize handheld units (MSCA) to perform material releasing.
- Prepare DO for material release.
- Inspect items against the delivery order to ensure they're not damaged or in shortage before loading.
- Report any damaged or shortages of material immediately to the supervisor.
- Safety
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace and environment.
- Perform daily housekeeping in all warehouse areas.
- Others
- Participate and support annual stock-take activity on all products in the warehouse.
- Participate and support in scheduled cycle counts.
- Any other job duty that is assigned by the superior.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as forklifts
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in a logistics/warehouse is an advantage.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to read, write, and speak simple English.
A forklift license is mandatory.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to learn and an excellent attitude.
Must be willing to work on overtime work when required.
Must be physically able as work involves some manual lifting and working in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Must be willing to work according to safety requirements.
