Job Summary
The goal of the warehouse is to provide secure and organized storage of products and equipment, facilitate order fulfillment, and manage inventory effectively.
DELIVERABLES AND FUNCTIONAL TASKS:
General:
Identifying, building, structuring, and training the team to fulfill the consolidation warehousing strategy, including warehouse cleanliness, cost control, stock/equipment traceability, and safety compliance.
Manage the ERP inventory system and carry out activities with the IFS/FAM/FAIM system or processes as dictated by local or global strategies.
Proactively interact with Logistics, Technical, and Operations staff.
While the primary responsibility is running the Central warehouse, the employee is expected to proactively collaborate and assist the Operational Logistics and Technical Resource Centre teams.
Implement and maintain an RFID system.
Technical:
Work with Service Line and Project teams/Operations teams to understand technical equipment storage requirements for respective business lines.
Maintain an active interest in the industry in which Fugro operates and various types of work scopes and services provided.
Quality:
Monitor output of work and compliance with the company management systems.
Contribute to the improvement of the Inventory management systems and procedures.
Ensure that the Central Store complies with Fugro policy, principles, standards, and safety procedures.
Evaluate contractors and other service providers performance in delivering services/goods.
Ensure internal client satisfaction at an acceptable level.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management in working practices and output.
IT System Management.
About the role:
Responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and clean environment (5S System).
Responsible for the inspection and acceptance of all materials and equipment at the Central Store (Goods in, receipting, storage allocation, and goods out).
Support in developing, implementing, and maintaining the warehouse/inventory strategy in line with upper hierarchical and functional directions or instructions.
Ensure implementation and execution of action plans and KPIs.
Promote alignment by understanding and communicating internal client needs and requirements throughout the organization.
Responsible for warehouse daily operational activities and ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are executed in a timely manner, and receipts comply with set criteria.
Handle any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager.
About you:
Diploma in Warehouse Management or a similar formal qualification.
Previous experience as a Warehouse/Stores Specialist.
Good experience and knowledge of inventory control systems.
Experience and knowledge of ERP Systems.
Experience with MS Office-related software.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation relating to workplace HSSE.
Knowledge and experience of applicable standards and legislation for dangerous goods handling and storage awareness.
Fluent in spoken and written English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A Class 3 driving license and forklift license are preferred.
