Who We Are Looking For
Crisis24 seeks an individual with significant experience in intelligence analysis and an above-average knowledge of editorial best practices to form part of a team that guides and assists our 24/7 global intelligence team. The candidate will be knowledgeable of international security, travel, and political affairs, monitor real-time events, and have experience working with clients from recreational travelers to C-Suite executives.
As a Watch Operations Manager (WOM), they will be the senior intelligence team member on shift, overseeing quality control of tactical intelligence alerts and ensuring client requests are handled promptly. They will ensure regional and category teams are reporting on significant events as they occur in real-time.
They will also be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence in the form of brief tactical alerts. They will occasionally be requested to provide but more likely review in-depth assessments and strategic predictions. In addition, they will be required to respond appropriately to quick-turnaround client requests (mostly written and periodically verbally).
Weekend shift work is required.
What You Will Work On
Prioritize, manage, and coordinate all tactical intelligence alerting activities on shift.
Direct resources to ensure thorough global monitoring and reporting on shift.
Oversee analysts monitoring focus and have global awareness.
Leverage open-source information, proprietary content/data sets, and in-house subject matter experts.
Perform editorial and analytical quality assurance of alerts and, per request, longer analytical assessments.
Provide performance feedback to analysts.
Write time-sensitive alerts as required.
Liaise with Crisis24 customer services, directing urgent tasks in response to inquiries. Ensure requests are assigned promptly.
Interact professionally with clients in written and verbal communications.
Actively participate in team and departmental meetings. Work closely as part of a wider WOM team to ensure standards and consistency are met.
What You Will Bring
Bachelors degree in a related discipline required (Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Intelligence); Masters degree preferred.
5+ years experience in a related field (Intelligence Analysis, Enterprise Risk Management, Global Security, Journalism).
Experience living, studying, or traveling abroad.
Foreign language proficiency is preferred; additional French language skills are a plus.
Excellent general knowledge of global and regional political, security, and travel dynamics; above-average knowledge or expertise in a region or sub-region.
Ability to construct clear, logical arguments with supporting evidence; strong analytical/critical thinking skills
Strong command of the English language with excellent editorial skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Able to work constructively across multiple teams; excellent interpersonal and problem-solving ability.
Excellent time management and organizational skills; previous team management a plus.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should provide a written, original writing sample no older than one year covering a relevant security, travel, or political subject; an official reviewed document is preferred. The piece should be at most 750 words. This should be submitted with the application.
