Job Description

  • Assembling and fabricating structures made of metal.
  • Reading blueprints and drawings.
  • Taking and reading measurements.
  • Following specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency.
  • Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Repairing machinery.
  • Planning layouts and procedures.
  • Determining appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used.
  • Setting up components for welding.
  • Conducting tests on welded parts to verify weld quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Working with wood to build and repair structures and other items.
  • Selecting and sourcing appropriate materials.
  • Calculating quotes and meeting with clients.
  • Able to work alternate sundays whenenver is needed
  • Must Possess Safety instruction course (manhole) for supervisors
  • Must Possess Work-at-height course for supervisors
  • Must Possess Shipyard supervisors safety course
