Inspects welded joints and conducts tests to ensure welds meet company standards, national code requirements, and customer job specifications.
Records inspection and test results and prepares and submits reports to welding engineering personnel.
Communicate with retained weld engineer on welding issues, and processes when necessary.
Communicate with customer's weld engineering department.
Tracking and maintaining welding procedures and CWB binders.
Manage welding procedures and ensure welders are qualified and approved for corresponding welding procedures for various jobs
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in a heavy fabrication environment.
Practical and theoretical proficiency with Carbon Arc-gauging SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes. Experienced in developing process routings for large welded fabrications.
Familiar with PQR development and testing final WPS implementation.
