WELDING SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

. able to read measurements to plan layout and procedures

. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

. Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)

. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

. Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

. Suvervise to components by welding pieces and filling gaps

. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

. Co-ordinate with fitter and supervisor for job instruction.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting material with loads of up to 25 kgs)
• Willingness to work overtime
• Able to read or understand design drawings.
• Minimum 5 Years relevant working experiences
• Carpentry and renovation experience a plus
• Positive attitude to work as a team
• Able to work under tight schedule environment
