WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER

Roles & Responsibilies :

• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular workplace risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs to employees and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
• Serve as the point of contact for safety-related incidents and emergencies.
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with management and employees to foster a culture of safety excellence.
• Encourage reporting of near-misses and safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near-misses, safety training, and safety inspections.
• Prepare and submit regular safety reports to management.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Propose and implement safety initiatives to enhance the overall safety performance.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Must be registered WSHO with MOM
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workplace health and safety management, preferably in an industrial or maritime setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety best practices.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
