Responsible for implementing and maintaining the organisation's WSH procedures to promote a safe work environment.
Conducts incident investigations and identifies cases of non-compliance with organisational procedures and legal WSH requirements.
Evaluates risks associated with the hazards identified in the workplace and reports progress of corrective and preventive actions undertaken within nominated areas.
Perform safety audits and inspection of work sites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the WSH team on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
Ensure the OHS management programme are effectively implemented and maintained.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in construction industry
Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
Independent with good communication skills
Familiar with Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental
