About Our Client
Our client, a private equity owned boutique platform, has their regional headquarters in Singapore. They cater to several key customers in hospitality, retail and beauty sectors, that require bespoke CRM & loyalty solutions. In line with their expansion plans for 2025 and a desire to have sector specialists across their focus areas, they are looking to hire a Commercial Director focusing on CPG & Beauty. With this hire, the objective is to develop new business opportunities for the group, via partnerships with mid-size to large corporate clients through direct sales and media agency network. There is a team in place that will report to this role.
Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Commercial Directoris responsible for developing and executing the company's overall sales strategy within CPG & Beauty accounts to drive revenue growth, build a high-performing sales team, and expand market presence. This role requires a leader who can align the sales function with the company's long-term goals. Besides, you must be able to foster strategic partnerships, while maintaining strong client relationships and maximizing the sales pipeline.
The Success Of This Role Will Be Measured On
- Sales Leadership: Experience in growing & leading sales via a direct and indirect team.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the marketing platform/technology sector and its key players.
- Revenue Optimization: Expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, and achieving sales targets.
- Team Building: Strong ability to develop and lead high-performance sales teams.
- Customer Focus: Ability to build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align sales goals with the company's long-term vision and market trends.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing sales data, market trends, and business metrics to inform decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- More than five years in sales leadership, with a focus on CRM, marketing technology, or service sales.
- Experience in running marketing campaigns ranging from 100k to $2m is a must, ideally in an agency setup.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales teams in a competitive market.
- Strong knowledge of the marketing technology landscape, including trends in digital marketing, automation, and data-driven marketing.
- Experience in managing regional sales teams and navigating complex, enterprise-level deals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to travel for conferences and events.
