Looking for an experienced and passionate eCommerce Business Lead responsible for developing and executing effective strategies to drive online sales and growth for the company's eCommerce business targeted at the education market segment (students, parents, teachers). This is a growth hacker role that requires a deep understanding of digital marketing, data analytics, user psychology, and product development. The ideal candidate is highly creative, data-driven, and possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies
- Create comprehensive marketing plans to drive both merchants and customers to our eCommerce platform and improve retention rates.
- Develop and execute campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, SEO, and PPC.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.
- Foster community growth and engagement, including referral programs, loyalty programs, and user-generated content initiatives.
- Manage outsourced consultant partners to ensure quality and satisfactory deliverables and outcomes.
- Continuously devise new and creative ways to acquire and retain users, including leveraging emerging technologies, implementing unconventional and cost-effective growth strategies (eg. viral loops, guerrilla marketing, influencer partnerships).
Manage Digital Marketing Channels
- Oversee and optimize the performance of the eCommerce website and platform.
- Manage SEO efforts to improve organic search rankings.
- Implement effective PPC campaigns to drive targeted traffic.
- Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to engage with customers and build brand awareness.
- Manage email marketing programs and push notification with partners to drive conversions.
- Conduct A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experiments to optimize conversion rates and user experience.
Product Strategy and Merchant Success
- Identify trending products and target customer preferences.
- Source as the company's product or for merchants to onboard and retail at the company's eCommerce website.
- Drive merchant program to grow the number of participating merchants and enable their success at our platform.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (website traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, CTR) to measure marketing effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Use data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.
Team Coordination and Management
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams on platform technical support, merchandising, logistics.
- Grow, lead and manage in-house eCommerce team as business expands.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in eCommerce marketing or a related field.
- Experience in elevating a new or low traffic eCommerce site to a profitable status.
- Proven experience as a Growth Hacker, preferably in a startup, SaaS, or marketplace environment
- Experience with Edutech or product and services for education market is big bonus
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics.
- Proficiency in SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and email marketing.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, CS-Cart).
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and funnel analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
