As the APAC Innovation Partnering Manager, you will be responsible for continuous development and execution of the APAC Innovation and Partnering strategy, frameworks and tools, with the goal to identify, commercialize and scale innovation across APAC. You will be building partnerships with external partners to complement and increase Roche value proposition. You will partner closely with affiliates to build innovation expertise and accelerate the impact of innovation initiatives and best practices. You will keep abreast with healthcare innovation trends to shape and drive the APAC innovation priorities, pipeline and KPIs together with regional cross-functional teams.
The opportunity
- Implement the APAC Innovation and Partnering strategy and framework through close collaborations with affiliates, regional stakeholders and global organization
- Develop and maintain a robust international opportunity and innovation pipeline balancing long-term impact and ready for market solutions
- Prioritize innovation initiatives and incubate / pilot the relevant opportunities within the existing APAC commercial ecosystem through affiliates and/or regional cross-functional teams
- Stay abreast of overall healthcare innovation trends, stay connected and tap into the external healthcare ecosystem by forging or maintaining our relationship with key ecosystem partners in APAC
- Champion and scale suitable affiliate innovation initiatives across borders by architecting, coaching and driving implementation with tangible results impacting business outcomes
- Collaborate effectively with Value Streams, Affiliate / Global Innovation teams, Global Partnering, as well as other regional Business Development teams
- Build and maintain partnerships with various external stakeholder, including, but not limited to Startups, VCs, Startups incubators, Innovation centers, Healthcare institutions
Who you are:
- You should hold BS/MSc in science, engineering, medicine of innovation management or related field with at least 10 years of proven experience in healthcare Innovation Management (e.g. scouting, opportunity assessment, partner due diligence, partnership negotiations, and contracting) or direct experience bringing healthcare innovations to the market
- You should have the ability in developing and managing a balanced innovation pipeline that drives long term impact as well as delivers short term results as well as strong healthcare ecosystem network with partnership management experience with domain knowledge in healthcare trends, innovation management, design thinking and implementation
- You should have experience in informal leadership and facilitation of diverse teams and/or highly complex matrix projects with the ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity is desirable.
- You should have the ability in developing and managing a balanced innovation pipeline that drives long term impact as well as delivers short term results as well as strong healthcare ecosystem network with partnership management experience with domain knowledge in healthcare trends, innovation management, digital solutions, design thinking and implementation
