Job Description
Clarion Events Asia is looking for a Marketing and Delegate Relations intern for our upcoming InsureTech Connect Asia event. InsureTechConnect is the largest global gathering for innovation and transformation in the insurance industry. We were founded in 2016 and have been fostering the growth of our community since then. Our flagship event held in Vegas attracts more than 12,000 senior executives across the insurance, VCs and start-up ecosystem. The Asian edition, launched in 2021, will take place from 3-5 June 2025 at Sands Convention Centre and is expected to attract over 2,000 attendees. Find out more about our event here:
If you are looking for an internship in the events sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience in marketing of events, specifically in driving delegate attendance, arranging meetings, doing partnerships, social media activities and providing excellent customer service.
As an intern, we invest in your learning and development as you support the Marketing Manager in:
Marketing Campaigns:
- Co-ordinating and executing marketing deliverables with media and association partners
- Creating social media packs for speakers and sponsors for distribution
- Creating social media posts to drive event engagement
- Scheduling social media posts through a range of channels
- Using email automation systems to disseminate email communications
- Data building of curated target audiences for marketing promotions
- Creation of branding and marketing collaterals for dissemination
- Collate and support in the creation of detailed analytics packs for advertising clients
VIP Guesting and Event Marketing Operations:
- To source C-suite and other key decision makers from the insurance and related industries to attend our events
- To manage registration of attendees
- To be the main point of contact onsite for attendees
- To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors and exhibitors
- Set up and manage the networking platform and handle enquiries before and during the event
- To provide sponsors and attendees with a truly great experience pre and during the conference and to provide a fantastic service element to the networking process
The intern should be:
- Interested in digital marketing, technology, and event marketing
- Interested in social media and familiar with some commonly used platforms
- Have excellent time management skills
- Have a great attitude to learning and be adaptable
- Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint & Excel and willing to learn other marketing automation tools
- Able to communicate clearly and with confidence
It would be desirable to have an interest in creative work and to speak another language, but this is not compulsory and applications are encouraged from people without these skills.
