The role
You will be responsible for shaping the SaaS strategy of PowerSell and all other parts of our Ecommerce tech stack, leading to a successful market launch. This includes:
Pre-Launch:
- Thoroughly understand our comprehensive suite of ecommerce tech solutions
- Market research: engage with different potential B2B client types in the SEA market (brands, agencies, distributors, sellers) partially through our industry network and partially by your own outreach, to understand their needs and pain points, which solutions they are using today (the competitive landscape), and how our solutions compare feature-by-feature and overall.
- Build a model to estimate the market opportunity for different solutions and client segments
- Roadmap: Based on all info on client needs, the competitive landscape and market dynamics, industry data & trends, facilitate the decision-making process with our leadership team on which client segments and which solutions / needs to prioritize in our development roadmap, balancing internal requirements vs SaaS requirements to ensure the roadmap aligns with the overall business goals.
- Create the business case and requirements for a successful go to market
Launch:
- Develop go-to-market strategy, pricing models, messaging, and positioning strategies in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders, and successfully launch the product(s) in the market, meeting the needs of the targeted clients
Post Launch:
- Monitor the product performance using relevant metrics and KPIs
- Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and iterate on the product strategy as needed.
- Analyse market trends and client behaviour to adapt the product strategy to changing market conditions.
This role can evolve in a SaaS BD / GM role, or a Product Management role depending on the profile and career ambitions of the successful candidate.
You will work closely with the Head of Martech and our internal Commercial, Product and Engineering teams, and will report into the Chief Product Officer.
The ideal candidate
- Masters degree
- 4-10 years work experience in fields with relevant transferable skills
- Singapore based
- Analytical structured thinker (e.g. consulting experience or engineering degree)
- Commercial aptitude
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious self-starter who can operate independently, yet is a strong and collaborative team-player
- Good listener and communicator, able to quickly build rapport and trust with stakeholders
- Able to synthesise inputs into a holistic product (roadmap) vision and collaborate with product / tech teams
- SaaS exposure a plus
- Good sense of humour plus, life is too short not to have fun
