Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for providing leadership to the Marketing function and supporting the GSG Senior Management in developing marketing strategies, policies, and procedures for the region Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Cambodia & Philippines covering all GSG Schools.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Leads the marketing team in the region.
Works with Global Marketing Head on specific regional marketing goals and objectives
Works with Global Marketing Head to define and develop the marketing and brand strategy
for all brands and campuses in the region and oversee the implementation of the same
Financial
Develops a clear understanding of the financial KPIs and key success indicators.
Interacts with country marketing leads to formulate and supervise the country-wise marketing
budget.
Evaluates productivity and marketing strategies return on investment (ROI)
Functional
Owns and ensures generation of demand and leads based on business requirements in the
region.
Drives and leads Digital and Offline Marketing in all the campuses in the region.
Ensures the implementation of all local marketing campaigns and alignment with the global
brand GSG.
Constantly engages in tracking industry and competitors in the regions and shares competitor
analysis reports on a regular basis.
Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
Develops the annual marketing calendar for the geographies.
Plans, manages, and reports on progress and budgets for the marketing activities, campaigns,
and events for the geographies.
Derives critical insights from marketing data from the local marketing teams to implement
greater efficiencies in operations in the regions.
Stays abreast of best practices in the industry and competitors activities.
Interaction
Communicates the annual budget and marketing calendars to the local marketing teams in the
regions.
Builds strong networks and maintains good working relationships with internal and external
partners to keep abreast of the current business climate and macroeconomic trends.
People Focus
Leads the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the team.
Builds and manages high performing teams within the function by providing leadership, role
clarity, training, and career development opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in Management
Experience
10 -15 Years of relevant Experience post qualification.
Experience in Education sector will be preferred
Experience in managing and leading teams.
