The Senior Assistant Manager, Marketing and External Relations, will develop and execute strategic marketing plans for self-funded MSc programmes resulting in a direct increase in intake numbers. This is aligned with the University's educational goals of providing professional upskilling and lifelong learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)
- Develop and Execute a Strategic Marketing Plan for MSc Programmes - In consultation with relevant stakeholders, develop a plan outlining how the school will promote its MSc programmes with the aim of increasing intake numbers whilst maintaining a competitive edge.
- Analyse Marketing Data - Track, anaylse and report on the impact of all marketing and outreach activities. Look for ways to better engage with prospective students. Evaluate competitors, compile and share industry trends, identify new market opportunities.
- Manage Digital Marketing Campaigns - Optimize web structure and content for search engines keeping best practices in mind. Drive Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Direct Social Media Engagement Strategy - Set content strategy and editorial calendar for MAE's social media pages with the aim of increasing brand awareness and identity.
- Develop Marketing Collateral - Review collateral for print and digital media ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines; evaluate its effectiveness.
- Oversee Events - Coordinate local and overseas outreach activities (e.g. online and in-person programme information sessions) - Oversee annual Alumni Networking Event, Graduation Dinner, and Orientation - Plan and coordinate monthly Industry Seminar Series.
- Handle External Communications and Job Placements - Build relationships by engaging with industry partners, alumni, media, and vendors to promote the School's MSc programmes - Source and secure job placements/internships opportunities
- Coordinate Cross-Functional leadership - Keep everyone informed of the marketing plans and be the go-to person for any marketing-related activity
Requirements
- A recognized university degree in business, engineering, communication studies or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to lead a team, set strategic goals; motivate and mentor team members
- Able to analyze, interpret and evaluate results and marketing data
- Able to redesign processes to achieve better and more efficient work performance.
- Possess digital marketing knowledge, event organizing skills, office document processing skills, presentation skills.
- Able to evaluate the aesthetic appeal of marketing collaterals and devise creative promotional strategies.
- Preferably with 5 years of work experience in the university environment.
