Job Description

  • Food preparation: Chopping, slicing, and seasoning ingredients, and cooking food using a variety of utensils
  • Menu planning: Planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • Food safety: Ensuring food is stored properly and complying with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Kitchen maintenance: Cleaning workspaces, utensils, and dishes, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Communication: Liaising with wait staff and management, and training kitchen staff
  • Presentation: Ensuring dishes are presented attractively and garnished
  • Dietary requirements: Adjusting recipes to meet special dietary requirements
  • Stock management: Managing food storage and stock levels
  • Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served, taking into account diets to meet medical, ethnic and personal needs
  • Supervise other the Kitchen Staff Team on shift and undertake performance appraisal .
  • To undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
